Jackpot show follows the Lamb Show.

RULES & REGULATIONS
ELIGIBILITY:
The Scio Lamb & Wool Fair
Lamb Jackpot is open to all exhibitors under the age of 22.
ENTRIES:
1. An exhibitor may enter
and show a maximum of four lambs.
2. Entry fee is $10.00 per entry per class, payment
will be received at registration desk.
3. Shearing or clipping can only be done outside of tents or buildings. The area
must be cleaned or the exhibitor will forfeit premium monies.
HEALTH REGULATIONS:
1. The Linn County Lamb &
Wool Fair will have a Veterinarian check all lambs unload at the fairgrounds.
2. No lambs with sore mouth or foot rot will be allowed to show.
3. All lambs out
of state must have health papers upon arriving at this show.
GENERAL:
1. This is a one day
Jackpot Lamb Show.
2. Lambs can be show fitted or slick sheared.
3. The Linn County Lamb & Wool Fair, their officers, and members shall not be
responsible for any accidents to any persons or animals.
4. Jackpot Lambs are not eligible to compete in the general lamb show.
ARRIVAL:
1. Weigh-in will be
held before the show on Sunday morning after 11:00 a.m.
2. The Linn County Lamb
& Wool Fair will have a veterinarian check on all lambs unloaded at the
fairgrounds.
Qualifications:
1. Lambs must weigh a minimum of
60 lbs. and a maximum of 160 lbs., and they must have milk teeth.
2. Lambs must be unbred ewe lambs or wethers.
Pens, Feeding and Bedding:
1. All lambs will be bedded on shavings.
2. Feed and water pails must be provided by the exhibitor.
3. All exhibitors of lambs will be required to maintain their stall(s) and space
in a clean, sanitary condition.
4. Exhibitors not properly feeding, caring for, and managing their lamb(s) from
the time of arrival at the Fair until official release time will forfeit all
premiums won by exhibitors not following this rule.
Market Lamb Classes (Prospect lambs and Heavy
weight lambs)
1. Weight classes will begin following the 4-H and FFA lamb show.
2. The Prospect Market Lamb Class will show first.
3. The Market Lamb Class will follow the Prospect Lamb Class.
4. Lambs will be weighed and divided into classes by show committee.
Number of
classes will be determined by the number of entries.
5. Weight classes will be posted after final weigh-in.
6. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion will be awarded at the end of the
Market Lamb Classes.
7. There will be no protest allowed. The opinion of the judge and the lamb
committee shall be final.
SHOWMANSHIP:
There will be one showmanship class with all exhibitors included.
AWARDS:
1. All entry money will be paid back.
2. Premiums will be paid within 30 days of the show.
Release:
1. All lambs will be released after the show and pens are cleaned and checked.
