2008 Linn County Goat Show

The goat show is designed to provide the local youth an opportunity to show the
community their agriculture project. It is also an opportunity for the youth to
have their animals and skills evaluated before they attend one of the local
county fairs or the Oregon State fair in the summer. the goat show will be held
on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 4:00 pm in the show ring. Check-in and market class
weigh-in will start at 2:30 pm.

Classes
Showmanship 4-H
FFA Open youth
Class 1 – (Junior) - 4th Grade
through 6th Grade
Class 2 – (Intermediate) - 7th grade
through 9th grade
Class 3 – (Senior) - 10th grade
through 12 grade
Pee-wee
Class 7 – Open to all youth in third
grade and below.
You can bring you own goat or the youth will be able to borrow one of the 4-H or
FFA member's goats.
(The class will be subdivided depending on the number of goats available to
show)
Market
Class 8 – Feeder - 59 lbs and below
(class may be subdivided)
Class 12 – Market - 60 lbs and above
(class may be subdivided)
Breeding Does
Class 10 – Junior Does born
during March, April and May 2007
Class 11 – Senior Does born December
2006, January and February 2007
Class 12 – Yearling never freshened
born between January and November 2006
Class 13 – Yearling freshened
born between January and November 2006
Class 14 – Does 2 - 4 years of age
Class 15 – Does 5 years and older
